Ernest grew up in Shirehampton, he was the oldest of five children. His father worked at the docks in Bristol.
Based on his servicenumber he started his service in November 1940. From March 1943 he was part of the 106e squadron in Syerston.
His brother Thomas visited his grave with his son.
Buried: R.K. Begraafplaats in Rossum.
Remembered through a window at the St. Mary’s kerk te Shirehampton, donated by the Beacham family. The window mentioned the names of the entire crew and the place Rossym where he past away.
Awarded with the War Medal, the 1939-1945 Star and the Europe Star.
