Emm, Kenneth (Engels)

Kenneth was born during the First World War. At that time his father served as a gunner at the de Royal Garrison Artillery. Therefore his parents married just in 1920.

Based on his servicenumber he joined the Royal Air Force in September 1939 at the RAF station Uxbridge.

Ella, wife of Kenneth, remarried in 1947 with Benjamin John Hale. They lived in  Bournemouth. She visited his grave in 1947 together with Kenneth’s parents. Since 1995, along with her son David Hale and his wife Eileen, she regularly visited Ootmarsum. After her dead in 2006 a can of earth from the grave of Kenneth’s was scrattered  in the grave of Ella. And a stone from the grave of Ella was placed on the grave of Kenneth.

Buried: N.H. Begraafplaats in Ootmarsum.

Awarded with the War Medal, the 1939-1945 Star and the Europe Star.
