Wilton was the youngest of three children, he grew up in Saskatoon. His father was a sailor. Wilton was studying farmacie.
He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force where he started his training in Brandon, Saskatoon. In September 1942he left to go tot he RAF Base Upper Heyfort in Oxfordshire. From March 1943 he was part of the 106e squadron in Syerston.
His nephew Richard Keith Thomson, pilot with RAF, lost his life in March as well in 1944 during combat.
Buried: R.K. Begraafplaats in Rossum.
Remembered at the grave of his parents and at the Bomber Command Memorial Wall in Nanton, Alberta.
Awarded with the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, the Defence Medal, the War Medal, de 1939-1945 Star and the Europe Star.
