Meijerstein, Herbert (Engels)

Herbert came in June 1939 from Göttingen to the Netherlands. He was a Palestine-pioneer from the agricultural training center Wieringermeer.

He came in June 1939 as farmers pupil to the Leuveld family at Hasselo No. 60, municipality Weerselo.

In January 1940 he moved to Brummen and shortly thereafter to the Wieringermeer. He later lived in Amsterdam.

He was deported from Westerbork transit camp on July 15, 1942 to the Auschwitz concentration camp.

Holocaust victim, like his father and mother.

His brother Heinz fled from the Netherlands to Palestine and survived the war.
